Here's a bit about my training and experience:
I have a Master's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in complementary therapies. This degree was my effort in academia to validate a long-held passion for healing arts. I am also a Minister in the Universal Life Church.
For over 30 years I have studied and practiced a plethora of various forms of what's called 'alternative' medicine. My journey has included:
Although my path led me in many different directions from computer security at a university to production film accounting to event planning, these various techniques and modalities were the common thread I embraced and practiced everywhere I went.
Years ago, I developed a passion for wanderlust. With backpack and carry-on in hand, I embarked on a journey of exploring my heritage, sacred sites in various countries, and healing modalities in other cultures. A few of the places I ventured included South America, the UK, South Africa, and Sweden. I feel traveling to other countries expands our minds, opens our hearts, and challenges our beliefs in a positive way.
As an empath, I have been able to feel subtle energy since I was a child. I was blessed with a mom who had this gift and encouraged it in me. As an adult, I have developed the ability to see and read subtle energy, as well as hear guidance.
I believe everyone has the ability to sense energy in their own way. It's just a matter of calming the chatter in our minds, being still, and dropping into our hearts. I trust my heart and intuition to guide my path more and more each day. I also embrace the idea that we are ALL sparks of the Divine wearing human suits. We are here to experience life and the beauty of this remarkable planet.
A few of my passions are walking my cats, feeding the birds and squirrels, talking to trees, recycling, and creating greeting cards that sparkle with gemstone stickers. I also love to laugh and feel that laughter really is the best medicine. Of all the healing techniques I've learned, the one that comes most naturally to everyone is laughter!
Laughter is the best medicine. Be silly, embrace whimsy, let your inner child out to play, every day.
Share a smile with a stranger. Beam your inner light. Spread kindness everywhere you go.
